Your body is powerful.
First you must understand the connection and power of how your body works.
I focus on the Ingham Method®, a specific form of reflexology developed by Eunice Ingham, who is often referred to as the "Mother of Modern Reflexology." The method is based on the idea that certain areas of the feet, hands, and ears correspond to different organs and systems of the body. By applying targeted pressure to these reflex points, practitioners aim to promote relaxation, improve circulation, and support the body's natural healing processes.
Key Features of the Ingham Method®:
Mapped Reflex Zones: The method uses a detailed map of the body’s organs and systems, reflected in specific zones on the feet and hands. Practitioners are trained to work within these zones to stimulate energy flow and bring balance.
Thumb and Finger Walking Technique: A hallmark of the Ingham Method® is its unique thumb and finger walking technique, where the practitioner applies pressure by walking their fingers and thumbs over the reflex points in a systematic manner.
Holistic Approach: The Ingham Method® is rooted in the belief that reflexology can affect the whole body, not just the area being treated. It supports overall well-being rather than focusing solely on a particular symptom.
This method is widely practiced by reflexologists trained in Eunice Ingham's principles, and it's one of the most recognized forms of reflexology worldwide.
